Aim: The study was carried out to determine how nurses are perceived and identified by children. Methods: Descriptive and qualitative methods were employed in the study. The sampling of the study consisted of a total of 15 children aged 6 years old attending a nursery school. The data of the study were collected using an information form called 'Nurses in the sight of children'. The children were asked to draw the nurse in their imagination. Results: It was determined that 93.3% of the children had previously been to the hospital for some reasons and that 46.7% wanted to be a nurse when they grew up. 86.6% of the children drew nurses with a smiling face. Children's drawings of nurses with a smiling face were thought to be a positive perception about nurses. Conclusion: Drawing method can easily be used in children to determine the feelings and thoughts about nurses. Thus, this method can show the nurses the right approach to the child.
