In this study, it was aimed to test the effects of social skills education programme draft, which is designed for 36-60 month old or above age groups, on childrens social skills, as a part of the Preschool Social Skills Support Project (OSBED) which is carried out by Gazi University, supported by TUBITAK, and in which Ministry of National Education has the client position. The pre-test post-test control unbalanced grouped experimental method was utilized in the study. The test group consisted of the 36-66 months old and above children (n=444) whose teachers participated in the training for OSBED educators. The control group consisted of students (n=104) whose teachers worked in schools, where no such study was conducted before, near the schools with the teachers in the test group. Starting before the study and after the study, there was a higher increase in the social skills of the children who participated in the study compared to the children who did not. It is seen that education programs based on social skills and aimed at developing the social skills of children should be prepared from the beginning of preschool period, and such applications should be conducted in so all children may benefit from these programs.
