In this study, it was aimed to determine whether the communication skills of the teacher candidates differed according to age, gender, class level and monthly income levels. The screening method was used in the research. The research group consists of Sakarya University Education Faculty Class Teacher candidates. In 1998, The Communication Skill Inventory developed by Ersanlı and Balcı (1998) was used to collect the data of the study. Descriptive statistics, t-test and one-way analysis of variance were applied to analyze the data. According to the research findings, there is no difference between the cognitive, emotional and behavioral scores, which are the sub-dimensions of the communication skills inventory, and the scores related to the overall inventory, in terms of gender and age. On the other hand, according to the variables of the class level and income levels , there was a significant difference in the emotional sub-dimension of the inventory. As a result, the communication skills of the class teacher candidates were found to be at a good level.
